This artist was born in Venice and has been painting since he was very young. He graduated from the Ettore Tito Free School for Nude Art, which he attended from 1972 to 1976. Like many Venetians, he was forced to move to the mainland, where he played an active part in the artistic, cultural and social life of Mestre, both as a member of the town’s Painting Circle and as a founder, together with Spanio, Bovo, Moretti and Cellin, of the Gruppo 5 collective. He has put on numerous group and individual exhibitions in Italy and other countries. For over thirty years, Siebessi’s paintings have celebrated Venice and its lagoon, staying true to the great local landscape tradition while also adding innovative touches. His works can be found in public and private collections in Italy, France, Switzerland, Canada, Argentina and Spain.
Exhibition prepared by Emanuele Horodniceanu
